The title of this post is from Ralph Waldo Emerson. The flowers are mine from forced hyacinth bulbs. Forcing bulbs is a very satisfying way of bringing the garden indoors during the winter months. Another way can be done by trimming forsythia branches now, bringing them indoors and putting them in a vase filled with water. In a very short time, yellow blossoms will cheer what is left of winter.
New Canaan Church has reached out to the garden club about a project the church is considering. I will have details at our first meeting which is Thursday, March 13 at the clubhouse. Join us at 9:30am in the small conference room/library. Spring is just around the corner.
