Our garden walk took us to Terra Flora Gardens in Martinsville in August. The gardens had flowers and trees aplenty but the yard art really stole the show. The club took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the surroundings for the afternoon.
September is upon us. Gardens will need cleaning up and bulbs will be planted. Again, we urge you to leave some leaves for bees, other insects and worms to find shelter from the cold weather that is to come.
Our September meeting will find us at Beasleys Orchard for apple picking and maybe a cider slushy. Afterwards, we will go to Bread Basket for lunch. Meet us at the clubhouse at 9:30am on Thursday, September 12, and we will carpool to the orchard. What will you do with the apples you pick?
