The Garden Club is on hiatus until March but that doesn't mean gardeners can't do what they love in the winter. House plants bring color and humidity into our homes. Many produce flowers at this time of year. All you need is a sunny window and a watering can but don't overdo the water. Plants are slow growing this time of year and a little water can go a long way. I bought an inexpensive moisture meter that tells me when my plants are thirsty. Grow lights also help not only the plants but with the human SAD condition that can happen at this time of year. The grow light can take the place of a sunny window as well so that you are not limited as to where you place a plant.
March 14 will be our first meeting for 2024. We might meet at the clubhouse or we might grab lunch somewhere for our first time together in the new year. Stay tuned.
